Hello!
The injection mould machines are being manufactured right now. Here is a picture of the current status of the Rombo Diamond Mould:
We manufactured the first prototypes which will be sent to our guitar pick testers very soon. We are super happy with the first results! Besides, the first samples of the guitar pick holders arrived this week.

Next steps:
- Complete the mould manufacturing (Estimated date 30.04.2019)
- Finish the samples submission process (Estimated date 31.05.2019)
- Start the production (Estimated date: 15.07.2019)
- Deliver your picks to you (Estimated date: 15.08.2019)

Hello!
We promised ourselves to keep everyone informed, including us. The updates we post are like a personal diary for us, and they help us remember what we have achieved, like a checklist.
About the survey :
758 backers out of 863 answered the survey - This is awesome! If you haven’t answered yet, don’t worry, the survey will be available until June.
About the project :
The material has been purchased, and the injection mould machines are being manufactured right now. In the meantime, we are working on the packaging layouts and packaging engineering:
We decided to use 300gsm silk paper, which offers a lot of printable surfaces. To fix the picks to the packaging we will use silicon dots. The first layout sketches are ready and they look like this:

Dear Backers,
The funds have been transferred and everything is ok. We have signed the orders for material procurement and next week we have a meeting to discuss the technical details of the future production process.
In the next days, you are going to receive the Kickstarter Backers’ survey. This survey will be sent by our post campaign partner Backerkit.
In this Survey :
- You will provide your information such as : Name, address, …
- In case you purchased a Pick Set, you will make your pick and colour choice
That’s not all! If you want to modify/upgrade your reward(s), you will able to do so. If you need any help, contact us at [email protected]. So we can help you with this.
PS: If you are one of the post-supporters from our pre-order store you won’t receive this survey, since you already sent us this information after you purchased.

TIMELINE - What Happens Next

Hello all!
We repeat the Timeline update because some of you are asked us regarding the same topics we discussed here =)
This is what happens next:
MARCH
We will send a survey to every backer. This way you will be able to tell us your address, the colours and pick models you want, and if you have any special suggestions for the shipping. You will be able to change the address anytime before the shipping and also add extra content to your order.
On approx. 21st March, Kickstarter will transfer the money to us, so we can start the development process. We will start the manufacturing of the injection moulds asap. This can take around 45 days.
MAY
Our injection moulds will be ready by the end of May, and we will start the sampling submission process: During this process, we evaluate the quality of the picks, the colours and the different materials. We plan 4 weeks for this process.
JUNE and JULY
Finally, we will be able to manufacture the Rombo picks with the high-quality standards we promise. We will start the production of your guitar picks.
AUGUST
After every pick is produced and packed in their envelope, we will start the shipping directly from Stuttgart, Germany. You will be able to track the letter. We hope to reach 100% successfully sent letters.

Thank you for your support. Rombo picks is born thanks to you! The last few weeks have been incredible, and we've been able to evolve thanks to you.
In the period that will follow until the delivery of the guitar picks we will keep you posted with all our progress with a minimum of 2 updates per month. If you have any questions or suggestions, we will always be at your disposal and will try to respond to your comments & questions in 24 to 72 hours max. Once again we want to thank you all for helping us to achieve a top product and creating a new brand.
In a couple of weeks, we will send the survey with our partner Backerkit where we will collect the delivery address.
