 Hi! How are you? We hope you are enjoying this summer!

With this update, we want to inform you about the project status and the next steps.

First of all the great news: all the Rombo guitar picks have been successfully packed! You can see some of the pictures we have prepared for you below.

The next steps: Before we finally start with the delivery, we will perform a shipping test with 15% of the Kickstarter supporters. This way, we will check if everyone is getting their picks and if we are doing right here! (Remember, it is our very first Kickstarter campaign) Besides, this preliminary test is necessary for us to create an efficient process for the deliveries that will be continuously improved. These first deliveries will be chosen randomly.

If you are one of the lucky ones, you will receive an E-Mail with your tracking number and some information about the delivery. Please, let us know when you receive the picks, your opinion matters a lot! 

An additional note for you. The best way to separate the picks from the packaging is using a rotational movement =)

The Rombo Picks are being prepared right now

Hello everyone!

We received all the guitar picks and created an assembly line for the different collections, including the Stretch Goals.

During the next 10 days Judith and Carlos will be manually packing every ROMBO guitar pick.  This product is born thanks to the guitar players community. A big thank you to all of you!

We are thinking about creating a survey, so you can give us direct feedback of the picks once you have received them. We think this information could help us in future during the development of the next guitar picks. Do you think this is a good idea? Would you participate in our survey?

Besides, we locked the addresses you gave us, please write to [email protected] for any changes or in case you have moved to another place.

The production has started!

Dear supporters,

With this update I want to inform you about the following points:

• Released samples
• Production status
• Delivery

1- Released samples:

The ROMBO guitar picks finally achieved the final design and the quality we expected.   The stiffness of Rombo Origami was increased after the feedback of our testers (Thanks for your great help!). Rombo Diamond grip area was still a little bit slippery, so we increased its roughness by 5%. Rombo Classic triangle structured surface suffered minimal modifications to avoid the guitar picks stick to the injection mould machine. After this changes we sucessfully released the engineering design of the mould.

We have been posting pictures of the guitar picks on Instagram and Facebook. Every share from your side will be super appreciated!

2- Production status: 

Yesterday, the production started without complications. We will manufacture all the guitar picks we need in the next 15 days. After that, we will have enough stock for a while.  After the picks have reached our warehouse (our home :D ), we will build a small assembly station where all the Try Out Mixes, Pick Sets and Complete Collections will be packed manually for you.

3- Delivery:

The last task for us before the delivery is to create a system that allows us to work efficiently with every shipment so everyone gets its tracking number on time. We are working on it right now and making great steps thanks to our post-campaign plattform Backerkit.

The delivery date remains stable between 15th and 31st August.

Hi!

The last few weeks were amazing! We were able to test every prototype and make the necessary adjustments to prepare the injection mould machine for the production. Besides, the packaging is completely finished and we received it! We used 100% recycled paper for it.

If everything continues as expected, we will be able to start the production on 15th June. After that, we (Judith and Carlos) will manually pack every guitar pick set by ourselves, our home is becoming kind of a warehouse :) . This will take us a while, but the delivery date remains stable and punctual.

The red card on the following picture will be the 3rd Stretch Goal. Inside of it, there will be an extra guitar pick, which you can keep, or give away to your best friend.

A short reminder for the 65 supporters who did not answer the survey. Please provide us the delivery address so we can continue processing your order. Thanks!!

Injection moulds are finished!

Hello all,
 

It’s been a few weeks since our last update, and we have some great news. Yesterday, we finished the manufacturing of all 4 injection moulds. We finally received the material for the production, including the ECOBlack version, which looks... very black! =)

For the next four weeks, we plan to improve the detail quality creating more prototypes out of the machine, testing them and evaluating the visual appearance. If necessary, we will make some adjustments in the moulds and prepare them for the production. For example, Rombo Diamond will need a modification on the structure to improve the ergonomic experience. 

Besides, we will continue working on the packaging layout and format, which we hope to get in the next 3 weeks.
